A salty Dan Mullen says he was not outcoached by Mark Stoops

Mullen was salty following 20-13 loss to the Cats.

The Kentucky Wildcats got a program-shifting 20-13 win over the Florida Gators on Saturday to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Mark Stoops has done a fantastic job building this program to level it is at now, and he deserves a ton of credit.

Saturday night was another example of just how good a coach Stoops is, as his staff thoroughly outcoached Dan Mullen and the Gators staff to get the historic win.

However, Mullen doesn’t feel the same way.

A reporter brought up the fact that the offense seemed to sputter against the Cats and asked if he thought he was outcoached in the game.

Mullen simply responded, “no” and then proceeded to ramble on about the yards they gained and blamed the penalties for their offensive struggles. Because committing eight(!) false starts has nothing to do with coaching...

Overall, it was a very salty response from Mullen, who seemed to give no credit to Stoops and the Wildcats for what they accomplished.

You can listen to Mullen’s entire response below.
