Two of the Kentucky Wildcats’ top remaining football targets will come off the board in the coming weeks.
First, 4-star offensive lineman Aamil Wagner will announce his college choice on November 11th. 247 Sports Allen Trieu adds that the decision will come on CBS Sports HQ.
Ohio State, Notre Dame, Maryland and Penn State make up the other finalists.
Around that time, 5-star wide receiver Barion Brown will announce his decision. He told Tyler Palmateer of Main Street Preps that a decision will come in the next 2-3 weeks. Palmateer adds that Ole Miss, Alabama and TCU are viewed as Kentucky’s top competition.
Kentucky has been picking up the most buzz recently for both prospects, especially in the case of Wagner. A stud offensive tackle from Dayton (OH), Wagner is currently ranked 116th overall in the country, according to the On3 football rankings.
Aamil is also the brother of former UK receiver and current graduate assistant Ahmad Wagner. UK currently holds every prediction at 247 Sports and the last two predictions at Rivals.
As for Brown, Alabama was long viewed as the heavy favorite for the Nashville (TN) product, but UK has picked up the last three predictions at 247 Sports and three more at Rivals. He’s ranked 14th overall in 2022 by On3.
Getting just one of these guys would be massive. Getting both could put Kentucky in position for a top-10 recruiting class when it’s said and done.
Noteworthy: 4-star WR/DB/RB Barion Brown hopes to decide on a college soon.

"It shouldn't be long before I come down to a decision. Probably two, three weeks. My head hasn't really been on that too much right now."
Ole Miss, Kentucky, Alabama, TCU believed to be the leaders.
