4 Wildcats make Preseason Coaches All-SEC Teams

Sahvir Wheeler was a First-Team pick by league coaches and the media.

The 2022 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Teams have been announced, and it features the following Kentucky Wildcats:

  • Sahvir Wheeler was voted First Team
  • Kellan Grady, Keion Brooks Jr. and Oscar Tshiebwe were voted Second Team.

This comes after the media’s All-SEC Teams had these same Wildcats selected to the same teams, which you can read more about here.

Though the league coaches voted for All-SEC teams, they did not hold a vote for Preseason SEC Player of the Year, nor did they predict the order of finish for the league this season.

First Team All-SEC

  • Jaden Shackelford – Alabama
  • Jahvon Quinerly – Alabama
  • JD Notae – Arkansas
  • Allen Flanigan – Auburn
  • Colin Castleton – Florida
  • Sahvir Wheeler – Kentucky
  • Darius Days – LSU
  • Iverson Molinar – Mississippi State
  • John Fulkerson – Tennessee
  • Scotty Pippen Jr. – Vanderbilt

Second Team All-SEC

  • Davonte Davis – Arkansas
  • Jabari Smith – Auburn
  • Keion Brooks Jr. – Kentucky
  • Kellan Grady – Kentucky
  • Oscar Tshiebwe – Kentucky
  • Xavier Pinson – LSU
  • Garrison Brooks – Mississippi State
  • Keyshawn Bryant – South Carolina
