For the first time since 1986, the Kentucky Wildcats have defeated the Florida Gators in Lexington.
Saturday, the Wildcats stunned the No. 10 Gators with a 20-13 upset victory for just their second win over the Gators since that home win in 1986.
It was Kentucky’s defense and special teams that secured the victory for the Wildcats as despite the offensive and quarterback Will Levis again struggling, UK got a special teams touchdown after Josh Paschal blocked a field goal that was returned 78-yards for a touchdown by true freshman Trevin Wallace.
The Wildcats put Florida away by turning the Gators away when they had first and goal from the five-yard-line with less than a minute to play.
As expected, the celebration is on in Lexington as fans stormed the field and couches, cars and anything in college students’ way is on burn watch.
