Kentucky vs. Florida game thread and pregame reading

Will the Cats improve to 5-0 on the season and beat the Gators in Lexington for the first time since 1986?

Herald-Leader

The Kentucky Wildcats take on the Florida Gators tonight at 6:00 pm ET at Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky. You can watch the game on ESPN, stream it online using Watch ESPN, or listen in on the radio via the UK Sports Network.

The Cats come into this game as 7.5-point underdogs and are looking to once again upset the Gators. Florida leads the series 53-18 all-time and has won 33 of the last 34 meetings.

That being said, we all know this is a new generation of Kentucky football that has the talent and the tools to take down this Florida team. The Cats won in Gainesville during the 2018, while the last three contests in Lexington have been decided by one score.

The Gators have looked impressive early in the season, but the Cats have a defense that should keep them in any game as long as they play at the level we saw in Columbia last week.

The major thing UK has to focus on in this game is taking care of the ball. If they can do that, expect this to be a very close game at the end with Kentucky having a chance to beat the Gators in Lexington for the first time since 1986.
