As the Kentucky Wildcats get set for Big Blue Madness and the recruits visiting town this weekend, they’ll be hosting another big-time recruit later this month.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, top-five recruit Mookie Cook will take an official visit to UK the weekend of October 29th. New UK assistant Chin Coleman is listed as Cook’s primary recruiter.
2023 Top-5 prospect Mookie Cook will officially visit Kentucky on Oct. 29, he tells @On3Recruits.

A 6-foot-7, 200-pound small forward, Cook began his high school career at home in Oregon via Jefferson High School, but he’s playing at Compass Prep in Arizona this fall. Among the schools who’ve offered include the Kansas Jayhawks, Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans, Arizona Wildcats and Auburn Tigers among others.
Rivals ranks Cook as the second-best prospect in the 2023 class behind only DJ Wagner 247 Sports has him as the fifth-ranked prospect in the class. Cook also plays football as a wide receiver.
While UK has yet to offer Cook, the fact that he’ll officially visit soon suggests that an offer may be on the horizon. Wagner, Reed Sheppard, Elijah Fisher, J.J. Taylor and Mackenzie Mgbako are the only other 2023 recruits with UK offers.
