DJ Wagner, Reed Sheppard and Mackenzie Mgbako visiting UK for Big Blue Madness

UK is getting its biggest 2023 targets in town for Madness.

The Kentucky Wildcats will have three big visitors from the Class of 2023 this Friday for Big Blue Madness.

No. 1 overall recruit DJ Wagner will be taking an official visit to UK this weekend, according to 247 Sports recruiting analyst Travis Branham. Wagner will be accompanied by AAU teammate Mackenzie Mgbako, who is ranked No. 3 overall in 2023.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Sheppard is now ranked 17th overall third among shooting guards, and No. 1 in the state of Kentucky in the Class of 2023 by 247 Sports. He is the son of former Kentucky stars Jeff Sheppard and Stacey Reed and plays at North Laurel High School in London (KY). Every Rivals FutureCast and 247 Crystal Ball prediction logged thus far has been for Kentucky.

Wagner, a 6-foot-3, 165-pound guard, is still the consensus top player in 2023 and plays at Camden High School in New Jersey. Like Sheppard, every Rivals FutureCast and 247 Crystal Ball prediction thus far for Wagner has been for Kentucky.

The 6-foot-8, 185-pound Mgbako out of Gill St. Bernard’s School in New Jersey just got his offer from Kentucky in September. He has additional offers from Duke, Auburn, Ohio State, North Carolina, LSU and UCLA among others. Duke currently holds every Rivals FutureCast and 247 Crystal Ball prediction.
