As we’re in the midst of an extremely entertaining football season, Kentucky Wildcats basketball head coach John Calipari has been working relentlessly behind the scenes to build up his recruiting classes, including 2023.
J.J. Taylor, standing 6-foot-7 and 196 pounds, also has a bit of interest from Arizona, DePaul, Florida and Illinois. However, the talented small forward has heavy interest from Calipari and Kentucky, already holding an offer from the school that was issued in June.
Kentucky is the only school to receive a recruiting prediction at Rivals or 247 Sports, as Cats Illustrated’s Travis Graf logged a pick for the Cats just last week.
Taylor is ranked as the No. 5 player in the country and would be an excellent snag for any program. Not only would Taylor provide an immediate boost to Kentucky’s 2023 recruiting class, but he could also target other high quality players to join the program over time.
