The Kentucky Wildcats entered Saturday’s clash in Gainesville as 4.5-point underdogs to the Florida Gators.
The way the game played out, you would have never guessed it.
The young Cats turned in their most complete game of the season, which led to a 78-56 dismantling of the Gators in their own building.
The first half was promising as Kentucky raced out to a 35-29 halftime lead. As impressive as it was, the second half was a thing of beauty. The Wildcats whipped Florida 41-29 after the break and cruised to a very nice Quad I win (Florida entered the day ranked 28th in NET).
Brandon Boston and Davion Mintz led the way with 13 points apiece, while Keion Brooks Jr. nearly matched them in his season debut with 12 points to go with six boards, four assists, a steal and a block.
