What a season it has been for these Kentucky Wildcats.
After starting 1-6, the Cats have won their first two games of the SEC schedule against Mississippi State, and most recently Vanderbilt.
Both of them came down to the wire, with the Cats narrowly pulling out the victory.
Now, they go on the road to face one of their rivals, the Florida Gators. The Gators are 5-2 this season with a 2-1 SEC record.
We all know the story about Keyontae Johnson, who will unfortunately be sitting out the rest of the season due to acute myocarditis — a condition that has been widely feared as a potential consequence of COVID-19 infection.
Despite missing out on one of the best players in the country, the Gators still have a lot of talent in Colin Castleton, Scottie Lewis, Noah Locke and Tre Mann. It’s going to be a battle.
As for the Cats, some huge news surfaced this week; Keion Brooks is back and cleared to play! This should give Kentucky a big boost on both sides of the ball, though assistant coach Jai Lucas did say on Friday that Brooks would be eased back into the lineup. So don’t expect him to log 20+ minutes right off the bat.
Will UK continue their inspired play or will the Gators get the best of them? Let us know in the poll and comments below!
