Who wins Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt?

Will the Cats start 2-0 in SEC play?

NCAA Basketball: Kentucky at Mississippi State Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

It was one heck of an outing for the Cats in their last game against Mississippi State.

They took the Bulldogs to double-overtime and came away with their first victory since November.

Dontaie Allen was the star of that game. After weeks of sitting on the bench watching his team struggle from beyond the arc, it was time for Allen to show everyone what he could do.

He went 7-11 from the 3-point line and scored 23 total points and continued to hit big shot after big shot. With this 32 minute performance, Allen has earned his spot in the rotation.

As for Vandy, it’s going to be an interesting game. The Commodores are 4-3 on the season but they have a star that can go off at any point.

Scotty Pippen Jr. is averaging 22.2 PPG and has the ability to score in many different ways. Vandy tends to lean their game behind the 3-point line, so expect a lot of that in this game.

Since nearly every game has gone down to the wire for the Cats this season, I wouldn’t expect much different in this game. Although, now that they’re 1-0 in their “new season”, maybe that motivation puts them over the edge.

Will Kentucky start a winning streak or will Vandy turn the Cats back around? Let us know in the poll and comments below!
