Boy, does it feel good to put one in the win column yesterday.
Kentucky showed some ability on the offensive end in a matchup against the LSU Tigers, scoring 82 points despite not shooting particularly well from outside.
The Wildcats shot 7-26 from three, but finished with a 42.2 field goal percentage on the game and hit 21-26 from the free throw line.
Brandon Boston has now put together back-to-back solid performances for Kentucky, scoring 18 points yesterday and Keion Brooks added 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Kentucky needed a win desperately to halt a three-game losing skid before traveling to Tuscaloosa on Tuesday and a matchup Saturday against a top-10 Texas team.
The next two games present some serious challenges, considering how Alabama played against Kentucky in their first matchup and the emergence of Texas as a contender to win the Big 12. However, seeing the team put together a performance where they were able to come away with a convincing win was good to see.
