The Kentucky Wildcats have won a basketball game.

The Cats picked up a much-needed win Saturday as they erased a nine-point second half deficit to take down the Mississippi State Bulldogs 78-73 in a double-overtime classic in Starkville.

Much of the UK comeback came with John Calipari in the locker room, as he was ejected midway through the second half after picking up double technical fouls.

After an outcry from the Big Blue Nation, Kentucky native Dontaie Allen finally received significant playing time, and he made the most of it, shooting a remarkable 7/11 from three and finished the night with 23 points.

Devin Askew also had a strong performance for the Wildcats, as he dropped 11 points while shooting 50% from the field and ran the point with Terrence Clarke out due to injury.

After a horrible start to the season, Kentucky is now 1-0 in 2021 and in SEC play.

With a wild win and Allen’s breakout performance, Twitter was a sight to see. Here are some of the best reactions.
