Are you taking the Cats or the Dogs in this SEC matchup?

After the Kentucky Wildcats football team plays in their bowl game, the men’s basketball team will play the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

To be frank, this has been, to this point, the most disappointing season we’ve seen from John Calipari.

His team is 1-6 right now, and nearly all hope from BBN has been drained for this season. With that said, SEC play can turn this year around for Kentucky, and it starts with the Dogs.

Mississippi State is 6-3, with their last win coming earlier this week over Georgia. The Dogs’ backcourt of Iverson Molinar and DJ Stewart can be deadly, putting up points in a hurry.

If Kentucky wants to win this game, and ultimately save the season, they are going to have to find a way to produce some offense. It has been ugly to this point in the season.

Guys like BJ Boston, Terrence Clarke and Olivier Sarr have been non-existent over their last few games. They were supposed to be the best players of the class. In order to get this team on the right track, they have to step up.

It’s the start of conference play, so anything is possible over the next few months. Hopefully the Cats will turn the season around against the Dogs. Do you think they will?
