Well, it wasn’t quite the game we were anticipating against the Tide this past Tuesday.
After the Kentucky Wildcats managed to muster up a three-game winning streak, they were abruptly stopped by Alabama, losing by 20 points at home, the worst home loss of the John Calipari era.
It looked like the previous issues showed up again in that game, a lack of offensive flow, and the inability to guard the three-point line effectively.
While that was a tough game, the Cats have another opportunity to beat a solid team in Auburn. It won’t be easy, though.
The Tigers look like a brand new team after Sharife Cooper gained eligibility last Saturday. Cooper has scored 26 and 28 points in both of his games this season.
We’ve seen Kentucky struggle guarding talented guards all season, so this could be a tough matchup for the Cats.
However, I’m sure the team has been game planning for Cooper all week, so hopefully Cal and company will be able to contain him to some degree.
What do you think? Can the Cats get back on the winning track or will we see another devastating loss to the Tigers?
