Due to the combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Auburn women’s basketball program, the Auburn vs. Kentucky women’s basketball game on January 14 has been postponed, the SEC announced today,
The SEC’s COVID-19 management requirements, as developed by the SEC’s Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force, are available on SECsports.com.
The SEC will try to reschedule this game later in the season, but if COVID-19 postponements keep happening, it will obviously be hard to fit in a full schedule before postseason play begins.
Kentucky (9-3, 2-2 SEC), looking to end a two-game skid after falling to No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 4 South Carolina, is set to continue SEC play on Sunday vs. Vanderbilt inside Memorial Coliseum. The game will tip at 5 pm ET on the SEC Network.
The men’s basketball team is also set to play at Auburn on Saturday at 2 pm EST on ESPN. That game is still scheduled to be played.
