Considering how the season started, it’s weird to think that we would be a few games into conference play and Kentucky would be contending for first place in the SEC.
But here we are, and that game for first place is Tuesday.
It’s still early of course, but the Kentucky Wildcats are riding a wave of momentum with three straight victories including a shellacking of Florida in Gainesville to be 3-0 in SEC play and two wins away from getting back to .500 on the season.
Defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide on Tuesday will be no easy task.
The Tide come into Lexington at 4-0 in SEC play, including wins over Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida. In their four conference wins, Alabama is averaging about 83 points per game.
Kentucky will have its hands full defensively against an Alabama team that averages 29 attempted three pointers a game.
Go Cats. Beat Bama.
