The 2020 college basketball season could look completely different with events potentially being held in a “bubble” type setting.
However, what if for the 2020 season every Division 1 team made the NCAA Tournament?
On Wednesday, Jeff Goodman of Stadium reported that the ACC coaches are proposing “an all-inclusive NCAA Tournament.”
He also reported that Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski was the one that has spearheaded this proposal.
This idea of EVERY team being included in the NCAA tournament this year is spearheaded by Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, source told @Stadium.

The proposal would mean that every single team in the D-1 ranks would be included in the NCAA tournament. https://t.co/k5iiyRjJCD
Louisville Cardinals head coach also weighed in on the proposal.

If this were to happen, then all 353 Division 1 basketball teams would be playing in the NCAA Tournament in 2020. A big jump from the usual field of 68.
An NCAA Tournament where everyone made it would mean that roughly 159 teams would get a first-round bye.
The regular season already doesn’t matter a whole lot in the grand scheme of things but unless you’re one of the top teams in the country, everyone making the tournament makes it matter even less for the teams on the bubble of getting in.
How do you feel about the NCAA Tournament including all 353 Division 1 teams in 2020?
