A pair of the Kentucky Wildcats top targets for 2021 have climbed up in the latest 247 sports national rankings.
Hunter Sallis, a five-star combo guard from Omaha, Nebraska, rose an impressive 19 spots from the nation’s 25th ranked prospect to the sixth-ranked prospect for 2021. He also is now ranked as the second-best combo guard in the nation, trailing only Jaden Hardy, who also holds a UK offer.
Kentucky is seen as one of the favorites for the five-star guard, along with North Carolina and Kansas. His top 12 list of schools also include Alabama, Auburn, Creighton, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Louisville, Michigan, Oregon, and UCLA.
Five-star forward Daimion Collins from Atlanta, Texas, also rose in the latest rankings. He moved up 10 spots as he went from the 29th ranked player in the country to the 19th. Collins is also the nation’s fourth-ranked power forward.
Collins received an offer from UK last week with Jai Lucas, who recruited him at Texas now on the UK staff. Texas, Oklahoma and Kentucky are considered the favorites for the power forward.
Nolan Hickman, Kentucky’s first 2021 pledge, remained at No. 30 overall. The four-star point guard from Mount Pleasant, Utah is viewed as a multi-year prospect who could end up being the best point guard from this class.
As for Bryce Hopkins, a four-star forward from Oak Park, Illinois, moved up two spots to No. 39 overall. Kentucky is viewed as the significant favorite in this race.
