Former Kentucky Wildcats star Mike Edwards just grabbed his first career interception, and it was a beauty.
Late in the Buccaneers’ Week 3 matchup with the Broncos, Edwards made a spectacular one-handed pick off of Brett Rypien in the red zone to end any comeback hope Denver had.

Edwards, now in his second NFL season, has been coming off the bench through the first three games and didn’t record a defensive snap in the first two games, though he did play 36 special teams snaps.
As a rookie in 2019, Edwards appeared in 15 games (7 starts) and made 45 tackles, three tackles for loss, six pass deflections and two fumble recoveries.
Hopefully, this interception helps lead to Edwards earning a bigger role in Tampa Bay’s defense moving forward.
