It was reported last week by Travis Graf of Rivals that Kentucky and Auburn had entered a “gentleman’s agreement” in terms of getting Joey Gatewood eligible.
The agreement was supposedly that Auburn would help Gatewood and cooperate with Kentucky in Gatewood’s quest to get immediately eligible for the upcoming season, so long as Kentucky did not play him against Auburn.
During Stoops’ pre-Auburn press-conference, Stoops said that there is no agreement in place between Auburn and Kentucky.
“There is no agreement, no gentleman’s agreement,” he stated. “I’m waiting to hear back from the league because it’s an SEC to SEC school (transfer), so we’re waiting to hear back from them.”
However, Justin Rowland stands by the report put out by Rivals that there is an agreement in place.
100% stand by @TravisGraf_'s reporting.

If that is the case, then this is probably just Stoops trying to keep the agreement under wraps as to not let anything leak out in order to get Gatewood eligible.
Because there hasn’t been any word on Gatewood, true-freshman Beau Allen has been named as the backup the Terry Wilson.
