Say what you will about Andrew and Aaron Harrison, they played two seasons at Kentucky and both ended in the Final Four. The twins were a huge recruiting win for John Calipari and their sophomore return may have kept him from jumping to the NBA.
But could he be seeking another set of twins to bring to Lexington? He recently reached out to Ausar and Amen Thompson of Florida.
Ausar is currently ranked No. 126 overall and the No. 18 combo guard in the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports. His brother, Amen, is ranked at No. 119 and the No. 22 point guard. Of course, the fall of 2022 is far away and these guys are far from making a decision. But Tre Jackson of Knowledge Hoops reports that they have been in contact with Kentucky.
2022 4 ⭐️ Guard Ausar Thompson tells me that both him and his brother Amen Thompson was contacted by Kentucky, Texas, and Georgetown recently. @TravisGraf_ @CoachDavidSisk @JackPilgrimKSR

We have seen John Calipari turn four star guys into stars (cough, Tyler Herro, cough). And, of course, the 2022 class is still pretty early in the rankings process and these guys could both end up making big jumps.
Obviously, John Calipari sees something in these guys. Is it just that there are two of them? Maybe. But he is a good judge of talent, and I think for their names alone they could bring a lot of fun for Big Blue Nation.
Check out the highlights of these young guards and get a glimpse of what Coach Cal sees in these twins.
