Where Kentucky stands in updated SEC odds for 2020 football season

New, comment

New odds to win the SEC East, the whole conference, and over/under win totals.

Jason Marcum - Sea of Blue

The Kentucky Wildcats’ 2020 campaign is just over a week away, and the folks at Bet Online have updated their SEC-related odds for the new season.

Kentucky’s over/under win total is still set at five wins in what will be a 10-game SEC-only schedule. The Wildcats should be favored in most, if not all of the games against Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Missouri and South Carolina, so that can be five wins right there if Kentucky takes care of business.

However, to be a legitimate SEC East contender, the Wildcats probably need to win at least two more games against the likes of Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida. The Wildcats should have enough firepower to take down Auburn, Tennessee and/or Florida, and even the Georgia game is more winnable after quarterback Jamie Newman opted out of the upcoming season. It will probably take a near-perfect game by the Wildcats to have any hope of winning at Alabama.

As far as the odds to win the SEC East go, Kentucky has the third-best odds at 9-1. For winning the SEC, the Wildcats have the seventh-best odds at 40-1.
