The Miami Heat are now three games away from the NBA Finals after beating the Boston Celtics 117-114 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Four quarters wasn’t enough to decide a winner of this highly contested battle, as both teams traded blow for blow into the final seconds of overtime.
Then Bam Adebayo said enough is enough, as the former Wildcat blocked Duke alum Jayson Tatum’s dunk attempt with three seconds left to preserve the win.
Bam Adebayo with one of the best blocks in playoff history. And no doubt the best since LeBron’s chasedown on Andre Igoudala. I still can’t get over it. THIS IS UNREAL pic.twitter.com/GHVNU1YeI2

Adebayo finished with 18 points, six boards and two blocks. He also finished in a tie with fellow UK alum Tyler Herro for a game-high nine assists, as the two former Cats made several massive plays down the stretch to get Miami the win. Herro also chipped in 12 points and 11 boards.
Game 2 is Thursday at 7 pm EST on ESPN.
