BJ Boston is going to be a star for Kentucky basketball this year. Nobody debates that. However, there is no former Wildcat to really compare him to when it comes to Boston’s game. Corey Evans of Rivals found a comparison though, in future lottery pick LaMelo Ball.

“Boston must get stronger, just as Ball needed to a year ago, and he must refine his decision-making prowess,” Evans wrote. “However, both players showcase tremendous size along the perimeter, the ability to create for others and themselves and a complete scoring package from 25-feet and in. Ball is a polarizing prospect this year, and that might also be the case for Boston next year. Regardless, lottery selections are in the cards for both Ball and the future Kentucky Wildcat.”

With LaMelo skipping college to play in Australia, most of us have seen very little of his game. But if the hype is to be believed about the youngest Ball brother, then the ceiling is high for BJ Boston.
