As we go on six full months of COVID-19, 2021 recruiting hasn’t been put on hold. For the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball program, the time to land a point guard is on the horizon. With Nolan Hickman already on board, head coach John Calipari will look to pair him with another talented recruit. But who will it be?

After missing out on Kennedy Chandler (University of Tennessee) and Jaden Hardy potentially looking at the G-League, Kentucky is focusing in on Hunter Sallis and 2022 recruit Skyy Clark.

Sallis, as noted below, is reportedly going to take his time making a decision. A decision to play for Kentucky, though, would make a world’s difference for the 2021 class. He currently stands as the sixth-ranked player in the 2021 class and the second-ranked combo guard.

The Wildcats’ other target, Clark, is technically a member of the 2022 class but is on the radar to reclassify. As the country’s 13th-ranked player and third-ranked combo guard, he would be an excellent grab for Kentucky.

Which do you see being the better fit? What if Kentucky could land them both and shoot for a three-guard lineup? There are so many questions and as the days go by, so does time for these recruits to make their decisions.
