The Kentucky Wildcats athletic program is home to a pair of the top 25 highest-paid college sports head coaches in America.
In a list revealed by 247 Sports, both UK football’s Mark Stoops and men’s basketball’s John Calipari rank among the highest-paid coaches in America.
Stoops’ $4.75 million salary ranks 24th among all college coaches in America, while Calipari’s $8.1 million ranks fourth in the nation.
This means Kentucky is home to college football’s 21st and college basketball’s highest-paid basketball coach.
Much of the coaches on the list do their coaching on the gridiron with just four coming from the hardwood in Calipari (4), Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, UCLA’s Mick Cronin and Tennessee’s Rick Barnes.
