The Kentucky Wildcats have reportedly entered the sweepstakes for five-star guard Hunter Sallis.
In an interview with Jake Weingarten of Stock Risers, Sallis noted that he has been in contact with UK, but he has not yet spoken to head coach John Calipari. Weingarten did note that Kentucky “would love to watch more of him in-person” and have been watching Sallis’ film.
Sallis is rated as the 19th overall prospect and second-best combo guard in the class of 2021 by 247 Sports.
He also noted that Nebraska, Florida, Alabama, Louisville and UCONN are in the mix as well, meaning his recruitment is still wide open.
There are currently no 247 Sports crystal ball projections made for the five-star, but Rivals analysts Gregg Peterson, Shay Wildeboor and Geoff Rosen project the Kansas Jayhawks to land him.
