Burton, who plays at Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington (KY), holds offers from all of his finalists, as he’s one of the most coveted offensive linemen in the Class of 2021. His highest ranking is 59th overall by 247 Sports, where he’s also the third-ranked offensive guard and top prospect from the Bluegrass State.
As of Thursday afternoon, the 247 Sports Crystal Ball has Kentucky getting 100% of the picks. The Rivals FutureCast has the Wildcats getting 86% of the predictions, including the last four picks. Tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow and offensive line coach John Schlarman are listed as his lead recruiters for Kentucky.
If Kentucky pulls this off, this will be one of the biggest recruiting wins in the Mark Stoops era. While Kentucky has beaten some elite programs for big-time recruits, I don’t believe they’ve ever won a recruit with a final five that included Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama, the three premier college programs.
