A name that all of BBN has become familiar with in the last several weeks is Bryce Hopkins. The former Louisville commit opened up his recruitment about a month back ,and since that moment, the flood gates have opened.
But it looks like the race might start dwindling down here soon.
South Carolina just offered Top-40 prospect Bryce Hopkins, he told @Stockrisers. He told me yesterday he will cut his list this week. https://t.co/tuB31GBVwu

South Carolina now gets added to the list of teams that have offered since his his recruitment opened up joining Oregon, Michigan, Notre Dame, Providence, and of course the Kentucky Wildcats.
He also already holds offers from the home state school Illinois and Indiana as well. Both have been fighting hard to gain his services.
Even with a list cut coming soon, Bryce told Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.com, “I have to sit down with my parents and talk to them and really figure out a good time to make my decision.”
So even though it looks as if a commitment won’t be coming this week, I wouldn’t trade the Cats’ position with any one else in the recruitment, as they are still positioned as the favorite to land his services when a commitment does end up happening. Expect Illinois to be one of the teams that sticks there till the end as well.
Hopefully, momentum continues to grow and we add another solid piece to start off the 2021 class in the coming weeks.
Hopkins is a 6-7, 220-pound power forward who is considered to be a top-40 prospect in the country. He is ranked 33rd by 24/7, 34th by Rivals, and 32nd by ESPN.
