The first AP Top 25 Poll of the 2020 college football season has been unveiled.
The Kentucky Wildcats did not make the top 25, but they did receive 20 votes, similar to the first Coaches Top 25 Poll. But if you take out Pac-12 and Big Ten teams since they won’t be playing this fall, Kentucky would be a top-25 team in both polls.
Elsewhere in the SEC, Alabama (3) leads the way as the conference's top-ranked team with Georgia (4) close behind. LSU, Florida, Auburn, Texas A&M and Tennessee also cracked the AP’s first poll. Kentucky has five games against that group this season.
At the top, Clemson will begin the year as the No. 1 team, followed by Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma.
