Kentucky basketball got a surprise commitment Saturday when Nolan Hickman announced his pledge to the Wildcats.
Hickman, who plays at Wasatch Academy in Utah, is a four-star recruit who also held offers from the Kansas Jayhawks, Arizona Wildcats, UCLA Bruins and Washington Huskies among others. He’s ranked 30th overall in 2021 at 247 Sports while being the third-best point guard.
The buzz for Hickman trending toward Kentucky just began to come out Friday night, and he committed the following day to become the Wildcats’ first pledge in the Class of 2021. He’ll now look to lead the charge on getting more 2021 recruits to Lexington with him.
Shortly after Hickman announced his commitment on Twitter, he posted a video of his commitment to Kentucky on Instagram, where he breaks out some Kentucky swag with his family by his side.
