UPDATE
Kyle Tucker reports that Brandon Boston injured his hand while away from the team on a break.
I’m told BJ Boston injured his hand while home on a short break. Don’t have details on the specific injury or severity, but does not sound especially worrisome. https://t.co/8QS0rkUGyd

Hopefully, we’ll see Boston back on the court soon enough as fall practice resumes.
There hasn’t been much good news lately when it comes to Kentucky basketball.
That didn’t change Tuesday when it was revealed that Brandon Boston has a cast on his left hand, suggesting he suffered some type of injury to it recently.

Thankfully, Jack Pilgrim reports the injury is “nothing major.”
Boston seems to be in good spirits, and it’s his non-shooting hand, so it doesn’t appear to be anything to worry about.
The 6-6, 175-pound freshman from Sierra Canyon (CA) is Kentucky’s highest-ranked recruit (No. 5 overall by 247 Sports Composite) since Skal Labissiere in the 2015 class. There’s high expectations for Boston that he’ll be one of, if not Kentucky’s best player and top scorer this coming season, and he’s also a projected lottery pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Hopefully, the cast is just a precaution for a minor issue. He’s someone Kentucky absolutely cannot afford to lose at any point this upcoming season.
