Jamal Murray had himself a fantastic first playoff game as the Nuggets and the Jazz went toe-to-toe, with Denver pulling out a 135-125 overtime win to take Game 1 of the series.
Murray led Denver with 36 points on 13/20 shooting, hitting six shots from behind the arc.

However, Donovan Mitchell, a former Cardinal, went berserk opposite Murray, dropping 57 points in his team’s loss. Mitchell broke the Jazz franchise record for points in a playoff game and put up the third most points in a playoff game, just behind Michael Jordan and Elgin Baylor.
It was a showdown of Kentucky vs Louisville on the NBA stage. Mitchell was on fire all game long, and Murray caught fire in the fourth quarter and overtime. The duo of Murray Jokic just proved too much in game one for Utah, who was missing point guard Mike Conley.
This was a fantastic way to tip off the NBA Playoffs.
