As the debate rages over whether there will be college football this fall, it seems like we might have some clarity regarding the SEC schedule tomorrow.
According to 247 Sports, the SEC is planning to announce dates for the 10-game conference season “early next week” and that could be as soon as tomorrow.
According to the source, coaches will learn of the schedule tomorrow but it’s unclear if a public announcement will be made. With coaches learning of the schedule though, it wouldn’t be surprising if details began to leak out if there isn’t a public announcement.
That means we’ll find out how Kentucky’s new schedule lines up and who the Cats will take on when Week 1 arrives in just a few weeks.
Announcing those dates would be a positive step in this whirlwind of news surrounding the upcoming college football season. As SEC teams begin camp on Monday, being able to have dates along with the new schedule would show a level of optimism from the conference that games will still be played this fall.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we have SEC football this fall.
