While much of the offseason hype has surrounded Kentucky’s offseason additions — namely BJ Boston, Terrence Clarke and Olivier Sarr — don’t forget Kentucky has a promising returnee in Keion Brooks Jr.
After a promising freshman season that ended on a high note in the comeback win at Florida, Brooks announced he was returning for his sophomore season. With it came the hope that he can be Kentucky’s latest Year 1-2 breakout star.
“Keion improved as much as anyone on our team,” Calipari said when Brooks announced his return. “This season was great for him. He learned about himself, he learned about the game and he learned about what it takes to be special.
“And let me say this: I truly believe Keion Brooks is going to be special.”
Now, we’re getting a look at Brooks’ offseason training thanks to Swish Cultures. In it, Brooks looks like he’s improved his ball-handling, expanded post moves, and a nice stepback jumper.
