Even though DeMarcus Cousins has a reputation for being a tough guy on the court, he is also known for his lighthearted disposition.
If you think back on Cousins’ time at UK, you will likely recall memories of Cousins laughing alongside John Calipari or teammate John Wall. There is no denying that the 2X Gold Medalist enjoys showing his playful side from time to time.
In recent years, he has taken his love for comedy to the next level by hosting comedy special of his own called “Boogie’s Comedy Slam.”
Last year when Cousins was still a member of the Golden State Warriors, the show took place at an Oakland venue and was taped in front of a live audience. Several of his Warrior teammates attended and surely got quite a bit of screen time themselves.
That pre-recorded show is now coming to one of the most popular streaming services on earth.
The Boogie Comedy Slam can be seen on Amazon Prime on July 10th.
With basketball getting closer and closer this is one more thing that hoops fans can fill time with until live NBA action begins at the end of the month.
The Boogie Comedy Slam is hosted by Mike Epps and features several popular comedians with DeMarcus Cousins himself is listed as an executive producer.
The hilarious Mike Epps is well-known for his role in the Friday movie series, as well as his skills as a stand-up comedian.
On Monday, the former UK superstar tweeted “CANT WAIT FOR YOU ALL TO SEE THIS SHOW EVERYONE WILL HAVE YOU ROLLING! THIS FRIDAY JULY 10 ON AMAZON!”

The comedy special will also feature Karlous Miller, Red Grant, Tony Roberts and Gary Owen.
It’s been a rough few years for DeMarcus Cousins as he’s battled injuries while bouncing between several teams. It’s good to see him promoting something that he loves and is proud of.
Again, you can watch the “Boogie Comedy Slam” on Amazon Prime on July 10th.
