Another conference has opted not to have fall sports in 2020 due to the coronavirus.
According to Jon Rothstein, the Patriot League is the latest conference to decide it will have no fall sports.

This DOES NOT include winter sports.
Official announcement expected soon.
As Rothstein notes, this does not include winter sports like college basketball, where you probably hear more about the Patriot League than its football counterpart.
In football, this is an FCS conference and the second one to cancel fall sports after the Ivy League did so last week. To this point, no Power 5 league has canceled fall sports, but seeing two FCS leagues already do it isn’t a great sign for the sport.
Among the FCS schools in this league include Holy Cross, Fordham, Colgate, Georgetown, Lafayette, Lehigh (go Mountain Hawks) and Bucknell (go Bison).
At this point, we should probably expect more FCS conferences to eventually cancel or delay fall sports. Let’s just hope the FBS schools are able to combat the coronavirus and find a way to have football this coming season.
