Is Skyy Clark on the verge of landing a scholarship offer from UK?
According to Rivals reporter Travis Graf, John Calipari and his entire coaching staff are hosting a virtual meeting with Clark on Thursday. Graf noted that the meeting was spearheaded by Calipari, so perhaps this will be when Clark finally lands that coveted offer from UK.
The 6-2, 197-pound combo guard out of Brentwood Academy in Tennessee is currently ranked 18th overall in 2022 by 247 Sports Composite. He just picked up a scholarship offer from North Carolina on Tuesday to go with offers from Kansas, Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, Auburn, Florida State, Gonzaga, Indiana, Memphis, Michigan, Ohio State, and Tennessee among others.
That kind of offer sheet for a recruit two years away from being in college shows just how highly he’s thought of in recruiting circles. There is a chance Clark eventually reclassifies into 2021, though he’s currently expected to remain in 2022.
UK is viewed as the heavy favorite for Clark, and he’s not exactly dispelled that notion. On several occasions, Clark has been seen working out in UK gear. 247 Sports scouting director Jerry Meyer logged a crystal ball pick in favor of UK with a confidence level of ‘8.’ UK is the only schools getting picks at 247, while there are no predictions in the Rivals FutureCast as of Wednesday morning.
If Clark were to receive an offer on Thursday, it may not be much longer until he’s a Wildcat.
