Matthew Mitchell has landed yet another transfer.

On Tuesday, former Maryland Terrapins center Olivia Owens announced her commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats.

The 6-4 center redshirted this past season after a case of Mononucleosis cost her the first few months of her sophomore season. She played in 16 games as a freshman while averaging 1.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest.

Owens was a five-star recruit ranked 34th overall by ESPN in the Class of 2018 as a senior at Niskayuna High School in New York. She was also a McDonald’s All-American Game nominee.

Here’s what ESPN had to say about Owens as a recruit:

Strong, physical low-post performer with interior footwork, powers to rim with efficiency; mobile in transition; emerging face up attack; high motor effort on glass; among the elite post prospects in the class of 2018.

In addition, ESPN ranked Owens as the 16th-best sit-out transfer this year.

Owens must now sit out next season unless granted a waiver for immediate eligibility. She becomes the third transfer to pick UK this offseason, joining point guard Jazmine Massengill (Tennessee) and shooting guard Robyn Benton (Auburn).
