NCAA Basketball: Evansville at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning and happy Saturday, Big Blue Nation.

There is much talk about the Kentucky Wildcats landing yet another transfer and it could happen as early as Sunday. DeAndre Williams, the 6’9 forward from Evansville, appears to be close to a decision and that decision seems to be Kentucky.

The last time those around the program that felt this confident about a player coming to Kentucky he ultimately picked BYU. Oppositely, nobody was talking about Olivier Sarr committing when he made his decision. It came out of nowhere.

So I’m not sure what Williams will do. I feel pretty confident about the roster as it stands right now if Williams doesn’t pick Kentucky. It’s not a decision that will make or break the season.

But if he does pick the Cats, he will be a nice bonus just in case a player get injured or doesn’t work out. I see him as maybe the 8th or 9th player off the bench, depending on how Lance Ware develops.

We should know within the next 48 hours where Williams will be headed.

That would be an intriguing line up.

This is significant as the NCAA typically looks towards the former program of the transfer for cooperation in these cases.
