Kentucky Wildcats backup quarterback Amani Gilmore has entered the transfer portal.
Gilmore took a few snaps against UT-Martin late in the season, but saw no other action the rest of the season.
With the additions of Auburn transfer quarterback Joey Gatewood and four-star Lexington Catholic star Beau Allen, playing time seemed unlikely for Gilmore, who was a project for Stoops.
Add in injured Nik Sclazo and Somerset 2021 commit Kaiya Sheron, and playing time was almost impossible for Gilmore.
Gilmore was a three-star prospect coming out of Amite High School in Louisiana and was the No. 32 Pro-Style QB.
Over the past week, Gilmore becomes the fourth Wildcat to announce a transfer, along with Cavon Butler, Davoan Hawkins, and Marvin Alexander. Kentucky is inching towards reaching the 85 player scholarship limit.
