Keion Brooks Sr. says another addition coming for UK; “Roster going to be legit”

Sounds like more good news is coming soon for the Cats.

The dice are hot for the Kentucky Wildcats, though it’s not the usual football Yahtzee.

Instead, the basketball Cats just scored a major commitment in the form of Wake Forest big man Olivier Sarr, an all-conference type of performer who will be UK’s starting center next season, so long as he gets a waiver from the NCAA.

But it sounds like Sarr isn’t the only commitment UK will be getting this week, as Keion Brooks Sr. is hinting at another addition to the basketball team.

Shawn Smith of Big Blue Country added this:

As of now, UK is still in the hunt for Evansville transfer DeAndre Williams, as well as four-star high school recruit Frank Anselem. Between the two, Anselem seems like the more likely option, as he’s another true center who will give UK more depth at the 5 spot next season.

Williams, on the other hand is more of a point forward who will play at the 4 and even sneak time in at the 3, two spots where UK has far more depth.

There’s no question Williams is the better player right now and would make a bigger impact next season, but Anselem is someone who should be around 3-4 years and provide valuable depth.
