The Kentucky Wildcats are losing yet another football player to transfer.
After defensive linemen Cavon Butler and Davoan Hawkins entered the transfer portal last week, wide receiver Marvin ‘BJ’ Alexander decided he would do the same on Monday, according to Rivals.
A redshirt freshman this past season, Alexander had failed to catch a pass in his UK career thus far. He appeared in three games last season.
As a three-star recruit from Chaminade Prep (FL) in the Class of 2018, Alexander caught 37 passes for 585 yards and eight touchdowns during his senior season. He chose UK over offers from Wisconsin, Syracuse and UCF among others.
With the wide receiver room becoming more crowded with three additions in the 2020 class (4 if you count Michael Drennen II), you can’t blame Alexander for deciding it was time to move on to somewhere he has a better chance at seeing the field for.
