Matthew Mitchell landed the first piece of his 2021 recruiting class, and its off to a hot start with four-star point guard Jada Walker from Richmond, Virginia.
Walker chose the Wildcats over Michigan, NC State, Florida, Virginia, Oregon, and several others.
The 5’6 point guard led her high school team to the 2019 GEICO high school championship and has also drawn some solid praise from ESPN’s Dan Olson.
Confident game manager executes in half-court game; left-handed playmaker knocks down jumpers with range to the arc; elusive off the dribble, penetrates and finds a way to the rim, takes contact and finishes plays, gets to the stripe; brings consistency, toughness to the back court; clock manager, basketball IQ.
A solid start to what is shaping up to be a really good 2021 class for Kentucky.
