Good morning, Big Blue Nation.
It’s a rainy, no account day here close to Louisville. But that’s not going to stop me from getting these Quickies to the good people of BBN.
With DeAndre Williams choosing the Memphis Tigers over the Kentucky Wildcats yesterday and with Makur Maker seemingly favoring the UCLA Bruins if he chooses to go to college, it appears as if Kentucky’s roster is set.
Which is fine with me. Olivier Sarr, Keion Brooks, Lance Ware, and Isaiah Jackson are enough for the front court and the guard/wing spot are loaded with talent. Adding Williams would have been a good insurance policy but I doubt he would have been more than the eighth or ninth man off of the bench.
As long as Sarr is eligible, and I think there is a very good chance of that, then Kentucky will be ready to roll whenever practice can begin.

I had a good conversation with Memphis commit DeAndre Williams.

“It came down to Kentucky and Memphis. But Penny showed he really cared for me.” https://t.co/C8XIvXmw8e
I hold no ill will toward Williams and I think he made the right decision. Penny Hardaway can offer him all the minutes he wants.

Phillip Fulmer lone holdout in allowing teams to start training with players | 247- The AD’s from the SEC met last week to discuss allowing players back on campus to start training by the end of May. All were in agreement.. except Fulmer. He would like to wait until June 15th. I don’t blame Fulmer. What’s an extra two weeks to make sure the re-opening of states is going well?
