Today could be the day for DeAndre Williams and Big Blue Nation. The graduate transfer from Evansville is reportedly expected to announce his decision sometime today.

With Arkansas, Baylor and Memphis all players alongside the Kentucky Wildcats, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where Williams doesn’t end up in Lexington. However, the same was said about Matthew Haarms. Then, less than 24 hours later, he’s all of a sudden headed to BYU.

Williams would join a rather jammed rotation, but would have the opportunity to play on national TV more than if he went with the other three suitors. He would also have an instant chance to seriously contend for a national title as well as play for the NBA Factory of college basketball.

The question remains, though, if Kentucky is still seriously interested in adding Williams to their team. After landing Olivier Sarr, Kentucky has 4-6 players who can size up well and play a significant role in the front court. While more depth is a great problem to have (see 2014-2015 season), it may make more sense for the two sides to go their separate ways.

Whatever Williams decides, we’ll most likely find out today. Stay tuned!
