Some sad news to report, as the daughter of University of Kentucky assistant basketball coach John Robic, Hayley, passed away last Friday following a battle with liver cancer.

Hayley was 27 years old.

She received her diagnosis last fall, and doctors were able to remove one tumor through an emergency surgery. The family sent out an urgent call for possible donors, and more than 1,000 people responded to the call, an act that the Robic family said they are incredibly grateful for.

“The support for her has been great,” Robic told Seth Davis of The Athletic back in January. “I can’t thank everybody who reached out enough.”

The outpour of support on social media just goes to show how loved Hayley Robic and the Robic family are. Let’s all keep the family in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
