Rick Pitino recently made his return to college basketball when he agreed to become the next head coach of the Iona Gaels.
Not long after, speculation started about whether he would be open to playing against Kentucky and Louisville.
Pitino said that he would be open to playing Kentucky and would even do a four-team showcase involving his former teams, but he would not include Louisville.
Jon Rothstein talked to Pitino about playing Kentucky in Rupp, and the former Wildcat coach said he would be willing to go to Rupp if Kentucky would return and play them in Madison Square Garden as part of a home-and-home type series.
Rick Pitino tells me that he would take Iona to Rupp Arena to play Kentucky if the Wildcats return the game to MSG as part of a home-and-home series.

Also adds that Iona is aiming to play Minnesota next season at MSG thanks to a Wrestlemania bet with Richard Pitino.
I think that another installment of Rick vs Cal would be fun for everyone involved and would bring a lot of national attention to that game.
Would you want to see Kentucky play Iona and Pitino at Rupp and then play them in the Garden?
