Eddie Sutton has a complicated legacy. But that’s nothing new in collegiate athletics; especially in the case of Kentucky Wildcats basketball coaches. Almost all of the coaches that have roamed the sidelines at Rupp Arena have faced controversy at some point in his career.
While Eddie Sutton’s tenure at UK ended in a giant scandal that brought the program to it’s knees, he went on and had success elsewhere, most notably Oklahoma State.
Regardless of what you think of him, Sutton is one of the great coaches in college basketball history. He will finally get his due by being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
For Sutton it may be bittersweet as there probably won’t be a ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tweet showed a noose and has since been deleted. Leach has been in hot water over his twitter account before.
A fall Saturday without football? | Saturday’s Down South- The culture of college football in the South represents religion more than it does entertainment. The thought of the season being canceled is heartbreaking to many.
